These terms cover your use of Tarot Tutor at tarottutor.io. Using the site means you accept them.
What Tarot Tutor is
Tarot Tutor teaches the traditional meanings of the 78 Rider–Waite–Smith cards, upright and reversed, using spaced repetition. It is a memory aid for a body of symbolism — a study subject, the way a language or a botanical key is a study subject.
It does not tell fortunes and makes no claim that the cards predict anything. Nothing it shows you is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and it should not be used in place of a qualified professional.
Your account
You need an account so your progress is saved. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give an email address you can actually receive mail at, because that is how account confirmation and password resets reach you. You must be 16 or older.
Plans
- Apprentice is free and stays free: the first eight cards of the Major Arcana and the Cups pathway.
- Reader is $5 per month or $48 per year, and opens all 78 cards, every exercise type and all four suit pathways.
- The trial gives you Reader for seven days. No card is needed to start it, and nothing is charged when it ends — you simply return to Apprentice unless you subscribe.
Billing
Payments are handled by Stripe. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access in place until the period you have already paid for runs out; we do not refund part-used periods. If a price changes, existing subscribers are told by email before it applies to them.
Fair use
Use the site as a person studying. Do not scrape it, resell access, share one account among several people, or try to reach card content your plan does not include. The card images are from the 1909 Rider–Waite–Smith deck and are in the public domain; the site itself, its writing and its exercises are not, and are licensed to you for your own study only.
Your progress
Your study record is yours. You can ask for a copy or have it deleted at any time — see the privacy page. Deleting your account deletes it.
Availability
Tarot Tutor is provided as it is. We work to keep it up and correct, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. If we ever discontinue the service, paying subscribers will be given notice and a refund of the unused part of their term.
Ending things
You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will say why where we can.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and account holders are told by email when a change matters.
